Should brands buy .SUCKS or .PORN domains?

When corporations fall into a crisis whether it be an accident or not, there is no doubt publics will respond. Today, not only can that crisis circulate faster through the Internet, but also through comments/consumer venting, especially through social media.

According to Healthline News social media is used as a place to vent frustrations. So when a company messes up my order or has a crisis communication catastrophe as big as maybe Exxon Valdez, an uproar will occur.

With social media these uproars have risen. But as of March 20 people will now be able to blast their frustrations by creating the domain name .SUCKS. Yes, that is correct, as in http://homework.sucks or http://(insertcompany).sucks. Seriously! Just insert whatever you think sucks. Oh and .porn, which is self-explanatory.

This can be done by going to ICANN, the Internet Company for Assigned names…
