Iraq forces gain control of ISIS dominated city, Tikrit

Politics In Terror

This morning, Iraqi forces have taken the city of Tikrit successfully back from ISIS. The Islamic Military State, better known as ISIS, has had control of the city since June. A few days ago, American military forces assisted Iraqi forces by conducting airstrikes around the city. The airstrikes successfully made it possible for Iraqi forces to move about the city and take control of the battle.

With this success, comes hope. Hope that ISIS can be extinguished from reeking further destruction in the Middle East, and hope that they will not be able to move overseas.

Tikrit is merely one city, and more battles will, unfortunately, need to be fought.
